LGBTQ Therapy

For many in LGBTQ community, it's important they know their therapist not only accepts them, but has a deep understanding for the unique aspects of their life shaped by the identities they hold

  • On a personal level:

    • Several of our therapists know what it's like to move through the world as members of the LGBTQ community. Although we may use our personal experiences to better collaborate with you, we honor that your own unique identities may create an experience that is different than our own.

    • All therapists at Framework who are not themselves members of the LGBTQ community identity as allies. Our ally therapists practice LGBTQ-affirming therapy and commit to seeking consultation from an LGBTQ colleague when appropriate.

  • On a professional level:

    • We're dedicated to remaining knowledgeable and affirming of experiences of gender, sexuality, and relationship structure unique to the LGBTQ community. Our early life experiences are unique, our journeys towards self-actualization are unique, and the ways in which we love one another and navigate our relationships are unique. It's important your therapist knows this.
